Kenya is a
country of alluring landscapes and sweeping vistas of
savannah grassland interspersed with Acacia thorn trees,
which are home to a wide variety of wildlife living
alongside local tribes, including majestic Masai warriors, a
colorful and nomadic people with a proud history and
tradition.
The most
famous of these reserves is Masai Mara, which borders the
Serengeti in Tanzania, and is home to the annual wildlife
migration, when herds of over 2 million wildebeest, zebra
and gazelle trek across the rivers that separate these two
great wildlife reserves in search of fresh grazing.
Among
Kenya's many other attractions are the top destinations of
Amboseli with its spectacular backdrop of Mount Kilimanjaro.
Closer to Nairobi is the alluring beauty of Mount Kenya,
white the white sands of the Indian Ocean beckon travelers
to put their feet up relax and unwind.
Kenya's capital of Nairobi is served
by daily flights out of London and Amsterdam. It is best to
access the wildlife regions on a scheduled flight out of
Nairobi to a local airport rather than undertake a long
drive along roads which are often grueling
and bumpy. |
